An ACNC report found three key charities that provided relief during and after last summer’s bushfires acted legally and responsibly. A survey undertaken by the Fundraising Institute of Australia between 16 and 19 January 2020 indicated that 53% of Australians had donated to a bushfire appeal, with a median value of $50, and 88% of donors expecting donations to be used within a few months of donation.
