Carmel is an accredited Strengths Practitioner and experienced not for profit professional who specialises in organisational leadership, strategy, and fundraising. Her extensive NFP career includes CEO and leadership positions with national and international NGO’s including World Animal Protection, Australia for UNHCR, Camp Quality and Kids Helpline. Prior to joining the NFP sector, Carmel spent many years working in agencies on the promotional/marketing needs for global brands such as McDonald’s, Nestle and Disney.

During her NFP career Carmel founded and built ‘Business Chicks’ the premier Australian business women’s network, attracting 6000+ business women over a five year period, in support the Kids Helpline cause. Carmel believes that leaders who understand the power of collaborative networking – and who actively seek out opportunities to learn and develop with their peers – will become the social sectors most successful and influential leaders in challenging times.
